Update: Unemployement
The vibe and energy in the office is contratidator to what one might expect for an office on the verge of being disbanded. Earlier this week a PDF was emailed to every single person in the office outlining our terms for "seperation". Not to get into details but being let go before April would be much better than being let go after because being let go after would mean our severance packages would be cut in half. Back to the vibe in the office, I can only describe it as feeling like those last few weeks of school, right before the start of the summer, right before you're ready to graduate and open that new door into your life. But instead of hanging around lockers in the hallway we're hanging around each others cubicles shooting the shit like we were hearing each other's stories for the first time. Back then you would of gone through yearbook pictures reliving memories, now we go through JPG images and AVI movies scattered through out our work computers doing the same thing we used to do whenever we went through our high school year books. And like the last few days of school before you graduate you start to wonder what are you going to do with yourself once these days are behind you. Well for me its the same thing for my inevitable unemployment, as of lately it has been nothing but thoughts of what am I going to do now. But its nothing like that, "I'm screwed, what am I going to do now!?!" My tone is something more like, "I have some choices to think about, what am I going to do now..." Update: Only a few more weeks till summer.
