I have been propositioned to relocate from my current residency to the lovely city known as Pittsburgh... I'm afraid that I'm going to have to turn down this offer due to the fact that Pittsburgh has nothing to offer me but a foreseen depression and a sense of entrapment. Being from Jersey and having the NYC as my geographical neighbor, Pittsburgh just can't compare. I can best describe Pittsburgh as an up and coming city with little character and diversity. My one friend best described the people in Pittsburgh as, "looking like Peter Griffin". To that end theres nothing much to the city besides its sports team and my current employer, The Bank of New York Mellon. Staying around the NYC area leaves so many more doors open compared to moving to Pittsburgh which would most likely leave me in a dead end.
I never appreciated how good I had it being where I'm from till the time I spent in Pittsburgh. I can definitely thank Pittsburgh for helping me gain this new found appreciation for the NYC.
