'Grunge" by Michael Lavine and Thurston Moore

Any one who grew up as a teen in the 1990's can tell you a little something about the whole 'Grunge" thing. As a teen with my pubesent hormornal imbalances and middle class up bringing, and all white neighborhood (I was the only minority on my block as a child) I can probably tell you more than some. Fortunately for the rest of us Michael Lavine and Thurston Moore have collaborated on a book entitled the same name as the era to illustrate the life and death of the 'Grunge' movement. From the music that drove the culture to the explotation that took it down, Lavine and Moore provide photos and texts that takes the reader into a cultural time machine, a cultural that came as fast as it went. Flannel shirts not included, but the pictures in the book more than makes up for this missing grunge staple.

Thanks to Hypebeast for the heads up on this drop.
